Awesome humbucker with a very fat midrange and tons of clarity
I’m selling it because it’s too hot for me. This pickup reads at 13.8k on my ohm meter.
PARTIAL SPLIT MOD: Often, when you split a hum bucker, you don't actually get a good single coil sound - it gets too bright and thin. Also, the drop in volume can be annoying. With this mod, when you coil split, you get all of one of the coils, and PART OF the other coil, to make the volume drop less significant, and to make the tone less... mosquito-like.
NOTE: this pickup is stock now, but I did at one point swap out the stock A5 magnet for an A3 magnet (the weakest AlNiCo) in order to make it less hot. I have since returned the stock A5 magnet. The pictures of the side of the pickup are basically to show you that I took the tape off to swap the magnet, then replaced it - that's all!
