Bareknuckle Pickups Nailbomb 7 clip

Re: Bareknuckle Pickups Nailbomb 7 clip

Yeah, that's got a nice hefty weight to it, and very tidy in the right hand department. Chunky.

Cheers.........................wahwah

Re: Bareknuckle Pickups Nailbomb 7 clip

...sounds like a busier version of Nickelback or Creed. :burnout:

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

All fun aside, it sounds decent but, it seems like a little more cut would be good.

Re: Bareknuckle Pickups Nailbomb 7 clip

In all honesty I'm not digging this whole impulse + no tubescreamer business as much as I thought I would - in the process of doing some more with the TS, the POD, etc.

Re: Bareknuckle Pickups Nailbomb 7 clip

Well in my opinion, line6 knows how to hide crappy pickups and guitars better than any amp ive ever heard. I didnt realize how bad the stock bridge pup in my 7 sounded until I plugged back into my 6505+ from using the guitarport all summer. I wouldnt waste your time personally if its to show us the tone. I thought you always miced your amp in the past?

Re: Bareknuckle Pickups Nailbomb 7 clip

Used to - not something I can really do now, unfortunately. Gotta sort some more things out... in the mean time, link was updated with POD gats.

Re: Bareknuckle Pickups Nailbomb 7 clip

the most important thing.are you enjoying your Bare Knuckle pickups?

I dig it fair enough. Quite honestly, I don't think they're quite worth the cash... it makes sense if you're in the UK, where a BKP is only 10 quid more than a DiMarzio or Duncan, and 30 quid less than an EMG, but over in the states, for the price of three Duncans or DiMarzios...

I don't regret the purchase, per se, but I won't be making a similar one again unless I get an awesome deal.

But anyways... a buddy of mine wanted to hear how it'd work out for him, so I recorded one of his songs. This is the best I've gotten the Nailbomb to sound so far, and I think it actually sounds really, really ****ed good.

That clip is great...You have to try the Miracle man dude!More cut ,more definition ,more balls!Believe me...I had a E-mail traffic with Ben and Tim...All hail Miracle Man!:D

Re: Bareknuckle Pickups Nailbomb 7 clip

I've never liked Ben's tone at all. :-/

To be perfectly honest, I'm heavily considering returning this thing. It just isn't performing like I think a $200 dollar pickup should.

I can imagine it making perfect sense for guys in the UK, like I said above... but for the price I paid I was really expecting a bit more. It isn't as tight/chuggy as I'd like it in the lower registers.

Well if you want really chug in lower register you need either MM or Painkiller!
Now you know why i didn't get the Nailbomb!
I told you that before ahaha.Anyways...
We have the exact same guitar. The MM is your ally!Thrust me!I know your style!

Re: Bareknuckle Pickups Nailbomb 7 clip

It's not chug I want, it's clarity and tightness on that low B. I still have yet to find a pickup besides the 81-7 that doesn't make the low B sound like undefined ass, but I need to try a few from the DMZ line before routing out this axe.

And still, no BKP is going to perform 3x better than a Dimarzio, EMG, Duncan, etc...

Re: Bareknuckle Pickups Nailbomb 7 clip

ugh. a 7 string miracle man set went for £46 for each pickup on ebay recently, and i was broke.

cool clip though!

Yeah ,you are from U.S and i know your pain about the price!
And it's really pitty that you can't try my axe with the MM in it!
The clarity ,transparent voice and definition is MM's qualities.
The harmonic content is incredible!
I am cosidering to get a Normal sized Blackout..and a FullShred 7 after my Crazy 8 arrives.Just to check them out!
But MM is worth any EuroCent i payed!

Re: Bareknuckle Pickups Nailbomb 7 clip

did you trigger with a midi keyboard?

i don't wanna have to buy one but it's looking inevitable :P

Re: Bareknuckle Pickups Nailbomb 7 clip

Drumkit from Hell Superior - standalone VST instrument that loads in a DAW and is triggered by midi.

http://www.toontrack.com can explain it better than I ever could :)
What software are you using to record? And are you triggering the DFHS from the recording software or are you creating an audio file, then importing it into the recording software?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm seriously still stuck in '99/'00 with Cakewalk and Fruity Loops.
