Barney & the Kramer

JeffB

Let it B
Up for grabs. I'm having a gear overhaul as I just dont play much anymore, and need the $ for "real life" things

Barney is a Dean USA Custom Shop ML and it wasn't cheap, LOL. Mahogany body, maple cap, mahogany Dean V shape neck w/ Ebony fretboard. Dimarzio Michael Schenker Custom pickups. Tone pros locking bridge. Super Jumbo "railroad track" frets.Graphite nut. real mother of pearl block inlays, abalone headstock inlay, 5 ply body binding. Bound and rolled fretboard. Just had a setup done, and new (500K) tone pot installed at the shop. Awesome tone and playability. It has some *EXTREMELY* minor fretwear around the low E and A string at the 1-3rd frets. Doesnt affect playability in any way, and pics wont even show it, but wanted to mention it. Its got some minor scratching (see pic) at the back strap button (not through the poly-cosmetic only). Some of the gold on the tonepros is wearing off. I'd say 8.5 outta 10 overall. I played it in my smoke free home and thats it. Great tone and sustain (Schenker pups sound HUGE..like an AirZone and Air norton, but sweeter in the top end). Very versatile tonally, dont let the shape fool ya. Hardshell Dean Custom shop case. Here's your chance to get a true top of the line instrument for a incredible price.

Late 1980s Kramer Nightswan-SOLD PENDING PAYMENT FROM thomasjo2093
Blue sparkle. original floyd (non recessed). 6105 frets (med jumbo like a gibson). ebony board, maple bolt on neck w/ 24 frets. 24.75" scale. Original Full shred bridge, some kind of Dimarzio in the middle (non original, looks pretty new). The previous owner added a coil tap switch for more versatility (the middle pickup sounds AWESOME tapped if you like pristine strat cleans). I kid you not when I say this thing plays like butter. Very smooth, fast playing guitar. Neck shape is incredible. No major dings, just a few scratches. you will NOT be dissapointed with this guitar if you like super-strats. Includes beat but functional Kramer hardcase.

That Kramer is so sexy.... I don't have anywhere near the cash I need for a new guitar though...

Oh c'mon..you can delay college for a little while longer while you re-earn the tuition money :)

Why are you selling Barney?

As I said, I'm not playing much these days. In addition, I've come to a point where I dont particulary feel I need such an instrument when I factor in my meager abilites. and I would like to put the money towards more important things than "toys" :)

Re: Barney & the Kramer

Yep, that's a cool Kramer! I didn't know Nightswans were Gibson scale length! Unfortunalty I've got gas for something else at the moment, good luck with the sale!

Re: Barney & the Kramer

Hey Jeff, I'll post this over at Shredguitars for ya. I think there's a couple people over there looking for one.

Thank you kindly Sir! :bigthumb:

FWIW, my GF's camera makes the guitar appear worse than it really is. The dang thing is in incredible shape and has a beeyoooteeefullll finish.

also should mention the coil tap only works on the middle pup.

Good Luck :D..Swans in general are pretty rare, and from what I gather the Polkas and the Lightning bolt are really hard to find.

Re: Barney & the Kramer

Throw me a reasonable offer folks..I *may* take it. Check my feedbacks here and on Ebay (tradlngbw), people rave about my former guitars. I can't play for crap, but I pick good ones :chairshot

Otherwise these are headed to the bay tomorrow.

:biglaugh:

I was telling ErikH yesterday afternoon that I needed to give you a big :bigthumb: Thanks Bro! I appreciate you spreading the word. It's a KILLER guitar, REALLY impressive and I know John will love it. :fing2:

I just have to learn to stick with what works for me though :laugh2:

Also, is that your forum? at shred? I got that impression from Erik. I'll hafta sign up as long as you don't mind tune-o-matic bridge guys ;)

Re: Barney & the Kramer

No problem bro! Glad I could help. I don't own shredguitars. I guess you could call me a founding father of it and I do moderate over there. It's really a great group of guys that love all kinds of guitars. You're more than welcome to join up over there.

Ahh...very cool. I'll head over this weekend and check the place out! :bigthumb:

Re: Barney & the Kramer

Ahh, thanks for clarifying that, Brent. I thought it was yours. A founding father is close enough. :o)

Jeff, it'll be easy to spot me. Same handle, Kramer avatar and I just posted the Maiden Strat in the "Other Guitars" room.

Now, somebody buy Jeff's Dean. :D

Re: Barney & the Kramer

Jeff, The swan landed today. Did you ever play that thing? It is beautiful, barely even a pick mark on it. I want to thank you for making this an easy transaction. I am very pleased with my purchase and I promise you she will be taken care of for years to come. So once again, thank you. Take care.

John
