Barney & the Kramer

Re: Barney & the Kramer

Jeff, The swan landed today. Did you ever play that thing? It is beautiful, barely even a pick mark on it. I want to thank you for making this an easy transaction. I am very pleased with my purchase and I promise you she will be taken care of for years to come. So once again, thank you. Take care.

John

Hee hee...I told you! :) But really you need to thank the original owner. He/She took really nice care of it. Hard to believe its 20 years old, eh?

Glad ya like it John :bigthumb: And thanks to you as well :D

K...who wants Barney? :D

Who you calling a sissy? I got half a mind to slap you and pull your hair....

LOL!!!
I have thought for years about building my own.. Id love to. 2 things stop me.. A) would still cost me a nearly $1100 to build just what I want and Im not sure how to paint it.. Im very particular with my guitars.. If I build one, I want it to be perfect. Im afraid the paint wont be and Ill forever be miserable over it.. Im not big on wood stains, so Id want to paint it

Re: Barney & the Kramer

I don't have any hair buddy unless you plan on grabbing my butt. I know a guy that's really good and reasonable on paint if you ever want do it.

Re: Barney & the Kramer

Do it! (i.e. build one)

That was a seriously killer superstrat. I've had old Jacksons (MIJ and MIA), Charvels (MIJ), Ibbys (MIJ), an old Focus back in the day,and god knows what else that I cannot remember, and that Nightswan was just phenomenal. The neck shape and action is absolutely incredible. I raised mine quite a bit, but I've never had a guitar you could slam so low and the thing remained playable (I'm heavy handed).

Next best thing I can remember even being the same league were the old MIA schecters.

Re: Barney & the Kramer

All I can say is, I have been playing the hell out of this thing and it flat out rocks. This one is number three for me and I love every one of them. Here is a pic of the new collection.

I hate you, John...LOL. Sweet collection. My eyes keep drifting towards the Baretta. All I gotta say is.......SCHWEEEEEET!!!!!!

Re: Barney & the Kramer

Thanks. I bought the Retta when it was new. I worked at a music store then selling Kramers. My first swan got stolen and I bought the Retta to hold me over until my new swan was ready (it was also stolen). When I quit playing I sold everything else but kept that one. It is as close to mint as possible. Just a few pick marks under the high E.
