Basic Shred Licks

Hey guys, can anyone send me to a link, video, or give me some tips to show me a starting point for some shred guitar and some basic shred licks? I've been playing for 5 years, so I know how to play, I just would like to learn me some shred guitar. Get headed into the right direction.

I was checking this book out and it looks pretty good. Considering picking it up.
