A lot of people here are making it sound a lot more complicated than it really is. Take an old tube amp and crank it all the way, and play what ever guitar you have sitting around into it. As long as you're getting a loud, gritty, drunken bare knuckle brawl tone, you did something right.

Lester into an old Fender turned up to 12 with some kinda boost won't exactly hurt things either.

His book of cars & gee'tars is a really nice way to waste some time...

...and you still won't sound like Billy Gibbons unless you ARE Billy Gibbons...or at least can play like Billy Gibbons! LOL! Using a peso for a pick might help.
