Bass amp for the bedroom?

First off I don't have a specific budget right now. Just asking for names to look into. When/if I ever play bass for a gig it's either through a Mesa M6 Carbine or my buddy's Fender Supet Bassman. The Mesa is currently in my possession but it's doesn't do quiet very well haha. I generally stick to pop punk and 90s alt-rock with a bit of GnR thrown in.

So I'm pretty much asking what do you guys have and prefer?

They don't make 'em anymore, but I picked up a used Crate BX-25 for next to nothing and have been continually amazed at how great it sounds. I'm mostly a guitarist, but I play bass for church every once-in-a-while, where I just mic it into the board and it sounds great. For the bedroom, it's perfect. I can play at low volumes and still have it sound crisp but rumbly and have decent character to the tone. Single 10" speaker... just enough for decent sound at low volumes.

I like my big 3rd Gen Fender Rumble, if I wanted a home practice bass amp I'd seriously check out the 40W.

I almost got one of the newer fender rumbles - I loved the OD sounds. I thought they sounded great when I tried them out. Very light, which is weird. Great prices. I ended up making a bass 10" cab and using little guitar heads.

I've had Crates and now two Rumbles and either one would be great. If they don't make the Crate models anymore than get your largest Rumble and enjoy!

Got to be a pawnshop around with a Peavey Minx, Basic, TKO, TNT, etc. for cheap.

Bill

TKO and TNT usually runs $150 or so on craigslist around here, rarely see more than a month go by without one being posted. I picked up a used Crate for $90 at the local GC that works well enough for personal stuff and is more than loud enough if the band gets together at my place.

Thought this looked like a good place to ask rather than starting a new thread

I had a new bass arrive today, actually an early 80's Westbury. I have a Carlsbro bass amp I bought from a friend about twenty years ago, I mainly ply guitar
and it hadn't been switched on in a while and the bass and treble knobs have seized up, needed a lot of force to turn and if the volume knob goes above nine o' clock it cuts out.
It has a headphone socket so ideal for home but obviously showing its age

So same as above, small practice amp but I'm looking for specifically tube and about 15 watt, any suggestions appreciated, all I could see online was Ashdown
