Bass ASB2-5s Pickups on a 4 String Bass - Copied from Pickup Area

Has anyone ever use these on a four string bass?
The reason I bought these is to replace my Tobias's pickups (they were initially purchased because of overall dimensions and "P" style magnet layout.
However afterwards I realized the A string lands right on the end the bass side magnet. Has anyone ever had a string not land over the magnet directly? If so how does it effect play-ability?

I have yet the open them and install them to test as I might have to return them.

Any help and opinions are welcomed. Thank you everyone.

Thank you very much I appreciate your input. I have tried talking with Keith at Customer Support for feedback but he never answers. Thank you I will return these ASAP.
