bass frequency response in a twin.

Re: bass frequency response in a twin.

Thanks glassman! I knew you'd be a well of great information.
So how come they use .022uf in super reverbs? ...or are there other factors at play?

Ned: you can pretty much write off everything jerry writes as trolling for future reference.

To be honest, I don't know. I'm a SR owner and I guess I've never questioned it.

My best guess would be that MAYBE someone at Fender decided that since the SR was a 4x10 amp like the original Bassman amp, that it might be cool to voice the midrange in the same area as the Bassman in case someone that had liked them in the past for the midrange response made a correlation between the two. Of course, the only thing those two amps have in common is the 4x10 configuration...and the midrange center frequency.

well i ordered the caps yesterday before i got your advice, so ill try it out and let you know how it sounds. Its pretty easy to reverse it if it all turns to mud.
