Bass pickup replacement suggestions for Steinberger Spirit Bass

What bass pickups can I fit into my Steinberger Spirit 4-string bass. The current pickups are really weak. I want something hotter/louder. I play a variety of styles, so something versitile.

I don't know much about bass pickups. I see there are a number of configurations that will not fit. The dimensions of the pickups on my bass are 2.75" x 1.5". The pickups are mounted using pickup mounting rings.

Any suggestions please?

BUMP....

I was looking at the "SPB-3 quarter-pound" pickup, but it looks like my Steinberger will need some modification as the SPB-3 is a staggerd 2 pickup configuration.

The SPB-3 appears to be quite popular and gets nothing but rave reviews.

Is there anything equivalent in a soap bar type pickup like the pickups in the attached photo?
