Models, knobs, presets and a pedal….more bass amp than I'll ever need; Home, recording, live. All for 1 wall wart on a power strip - yeah

Yes it does, but it's pricier. It also does color the sound a bit.

Well, coloring the sound to a good color is kinda what I'm looking for….

I was farting around on Ebay the other day, and I did a search for "Bass Modeler" just for the hell of it. I saw a Behringer BDI21, which I had never even heard of, and so I decided to research it. Apparantly it's a clone of the Tech21 Sansamp Bass Di, which is something I've always wanted, but didn't feel like paying the $150 or whatever for. So, I figured for $30, I didn't have much to lose. It should be here in a couple of days.

I have seen that but steered away on Principle. Watched the vids and comparisons. For 30 bones….I'm impressed.

I think I ordered mine on either Sunday or Monday night. I can't remember. When I get it, I will post some clips for you all to hear. I'll do them with my new bass. It sounds awesome!!
