i know many have played bass thru guitar amps. but i've heard that the main issue to be concerned with is actually bass frequencies thru a guitar cabinet's speakers. speakers not designed for bass can be damaged by these low frequencies. i'm using my 1/2 watt zvex into an orange 2x12 guitar cab, which i love for guitar. would i have anything to worry about if i play a p-bass into the same setup? i know the amp won't sustain any damage but what about the speakers in my cab? i'm thinking that maybe due to the extremely low wattage of the zvex amp it won't be a problem. the speakers themselves can handle *A LOT* more wattage so does this mean i should be ok? thanks!

At that output, probably not. As it was explained to me using a bass through guitar speakers stresses the cone. The higher the volumes the higher the stress.

yeah, i wouldnt worry about it. 1/2w amp even at clipping cant push more than 3w or so
