I'm thinking either Russian Big Muff or a ProCo Rat....

....what are you're opinions (on these or others)?

depends on the sound, muff's more fuzz, rat's more dist.

personally, I use the muff. I like it, it keeps the low end intact.

I guess I should add that this is for a quasi 70's stoner type sound.

When i'm thinking of 70's style stoner ANYTHING, the first thing that pops into my head is a Big Muff Pi and an amp with every knob but treble on 10.
