bassman heads? How they sound?

Re: bassman heads? How they sound?

Definately. I play mine through a closed 2x12 with a pair of Greenbacks and `it romps. I have a 71 65watt Bassman Export Amp. Definately not your typical Fender sound. :burnout:

Children and small dogs? Yes. :lmao:

It's not a high gain sound, just big and ballsy in a classic rock kind of way.

Will it kill through a Marshall 4x12?

Absolutely. Listen to any Social Distortion... Mike Ness runs a blackface Bassman into a flat front Marshall 4x12.

Great amps when matched to a good 4x12 closed back cab.

Re: bassman heads? How they sound?

yeah my Bassman has an awesome vintage/heavy sound. Kind of hard to explain. I've been trying to get my hands on a 4x12 for it for a little while...

Team it up with a decent distortion pedal and a multi-faceted guitar and you'll have a really rockin rig.

mike also uses plexi caps tho

atleast I'm pretty sure he does

I thought it was just his OT that was different? Only his tech knows for sure I suppose...
All I know is that when I saw them a few weeks ago their live tone was AMAZING.
