Another Completed Strat project that I am just now posting tone samples of. This one is a solid one piece Basswood Strat with a thin Nitro paint job & finish, a Warmoth Roasted Maple neck (I put the Charvel logo on because I was basing the design off of the Charvels) with a dark Indian Rosewood fretboard, Stainless steel frets, Corian nut, a Wilkinson bridge, Wilkinson vintage style tuners, Ebonized Mahogany pickgaurd loaded with Seymour Duncan Screamin Demon and Lil Screamin Demon in the bridge/mid and a DiMarzio Liquifire in the neck.

Overall I am very pleased with the guitar; however, from the recordings I can tell that the Screamin Demon in the bridge is not as poweful as the Liquifire (andeven the Lil Screamin Demon sounds more powerful)...I might be swapping it out for something else...not sure. The clips go in the following order: B, B+M, M, M+N, N.

It did seem a little weak in the bridge from what I could tell as well.....Maybe a Custom SH-5 in the bridge? All in all, it sounds pretty good if you ask me.

It sounded better in the Basswood Iceman that I sold/traded to (exact same pickup, I took out before the deal) forum bro Artietoo...I'm thinking the bridge may be a factor into it but anywho, it sounds weaker in the recordings than through my amp.

I am acatually gonna try out a spare boutique pickup I got in a trade deal while I was up in New York, supposed to be a handmade hot DiMarzio...will be cool to see how it sounds.

It sounds like how I had my demon in my basswood RG. It sounded a lot bigger in my thick alder superstrat.

I loved the clean tones ... especially the neck and middle and the combo of those two. The bridge clean tone sounded a bit like a Rickenbacker to me.

I preferred the JB in Alder than in Basswood–in my former Iceman the SD sounded thicker but in this Strat its on the weak side.

Thanks! I really like how the Liquifire and Lil Screamin Demon compliment each-other. And now that you mention it, it does kinda sound Rickenbackerish! lol Just not what I am looking for in the bridge of this guitar. I have a DiMarzio-esque boutique pickup I will throw in the bridge and see how it responds...so still working on the bridge pickup but am set for the eck and mid.
