Battle of the big muffs: Triangle vs Rams Head

In celebration of recently ordering a Ronsound '75 Hairpie (Rams Head Muff) with a 3-way mid switch. Which have you played and enjoyed more?

I have played a few BYOC from friends along with various other incarnations and they all just depend. Some seem too scooped more than others (if that is possible). Thankfully the BYOC clones, they include the mid-way switch on some.

I have honestly yet to play Ram's Head muff but from what I hear they can be either a hit or miss, just like the triangle, and they can get lost in the mix, just like the triangle.

Ive had alot of muffs and the violet ramshead circuit seems to have the best mids to cut through the mix without being too nasally for chording.

I dont jive with the low end flub from the triangle.The opamp muff is too aggressive. I really want a red army OD/Civil War muff clone. Never really liked the other russian muffs or NYC trash.

seems as soon as newer muffs are discontinued people covet them. see the V8 russian muff commanding over $100 on ebay.
