Before now, I never realized how many variances there are in the body shapes.
Look at the upper horns on all those Mockingbirds.

I had an original Bich I bought because of Paul Chapman. Loved the shape, played like a dream, all the knobs and switches drove me nuts-I just could not get used to the multitude of controls and often hit the wrong thing on the fly. Of course now it would be worth a pretty penny (story of my life with guitars), but at the time, who knew?

I picked up a beautiful flamed red MIK mock that was on closeout about 4 years ago. The 24.75" scale one with rockfields. It was a very well built guitar with high quality tonepros bridge, ebony board, etc.. As mentioned the control layout sucked, and for me the balance was awful-felt like a anvil on my shoulders and had @$$ dive, instead of neck dive. But it had a great Les Paul type tone- the rockfields were surprisingly chewy & sweet like a vintage even wind A2 bucker. Good sustain.

I have always thought the Mockingbirds had a certain amount of class to them, nice guitars.

I would opt for a Gunslinger, everything is in the right place for me.

Too many stock photos in this thread. This is my USA made Warlock... It has a combination of features that ive never seen on any other BC Rich. Yeah the airbrushing is a bit lame but eh... its very stereotypical of the era

I have an 84 BICH supreme, was originaly purple ,had it painted pearl white,i disconected all of the xtra switches when i got it in 84(new) I have done this to all of my BCR(that had all of the crazy electronics), right after i got it, i installed emg 81s in it ,stayed like that till dec 2010, now has Jazz B =neck w/coiltap, DD w/A8 in bridge = my fave guitar, also have a 1976 short horn M/Bird (purch used 22 yrs ago, -had a a new M/Bird in mid 80s very neck heavy traded it for 2 LPs(sold 1 traded 1 towards 84 bich) ,i also have 2 korean BICHs-1 spalted maple- 1 Korina, i had both of the necks shaved down,as they were to thick & wide), also have 2 x korean M/Birds =1 C/Burst - 1 RED one, i moved the(in the way) volume knob down to the next hole, i LOVE the BICH's..my bother has a BICH supreme, My old M/Bird that i traded him, +another M/B all USA, USA necks are all over the place in size, but all seam to be great, the KOREAN ones seam to be wider & thicker..

They're all the same except the 2nd from the right, which is referred to as a 'shorthorn' Mock. It was their attempted solution for the god-awful neck dive they all suffer from. I don't think it ever caught on because it looks so goofy. I had an 82 and while it played great and sounded fantastic, the neck dive was just too much for me when standing. I've always liked the Eagle's looks but never knew if they had the same problem or not.

How about that?
