Be Quick, Kramer Stricker $100

Re: Be Quick, Kramer Stricker $100

I didn't think the Strikers were American..... but I have been wrong before. :friday:

Maybe 9finger can weigh in on it, he's our Kramerologist!

^ You are correct.

However, if it's still stock, it has an Original Floyd, which by itself is worth the price.

I didn't know the Strikers came with an OFR. That is a pretty decent price if someone was close enough to pick it up. I'm loving my 86 American Pacer, (oddly enough, it's got American blazed across the headstock, but I found out it was made by ESP and assembled by Kramer, What a gip, huh? :friday:) It's actually the first guitar I've owned that I have bonded with that's got an OFR.

It's not an Original Floyd. It's an early FRII which are junk. They were made in Korea. Usually plywood, but have seen some w/ an alder body. Overall, not bad for $100.

ESP doesn't exactly make crap ;)

Re: Be Quick, Kramer Stricker $100

yes but they were the non fine tuning ones

Yup. The early ones had Floyds on them similar to the first Floyds in production. Double locking but no fine tuners. Then later they switched to the FRII's that were single locking but had fine tuners. A little bit after that, they revised the FRII's and they were a schaller style Floyd Rose that was double locking and had fine tuners but the base plate was cast metal like the schallers.

In a nutshell, I've spent way too much time on the internet.

I have a white 1984 Striker ST-300. Came stock with the FR non fine tuners. Works well but you really miss the fine tuners if you do ANY kind of tremelo work.
