Like or dislike?

Re: before and after

I like BC Rich V's, but I don't personally care for the no inlay look myself... I think perhaps it would look better with MOP Diamond inlays like BC Rich used... It's def an improvement for sure!

I think one of the features of the BC Rich V's that I like is the controls being down and out of the way. Needs an EMG-81, then it will be complete... LOL

Re: before and after

Not exactly the style of inlay I'd use, but it's good looking nonetheless. How do you like Jockomo's stuff? I have the crowns on my acoustic, and think they're great.

Re: before and after

Absolutely beautiful guitar. I like the before better personally.

I have EMG-81 and diamonds on my "other" BC Rich V ha ha ha good stuff!
ya without the dots and with 24 frets this ol boy gets lost easily up there...

You have two of those Jr V's!! That's way cool man!! Got a pic of that one?
Did you add inlay decals to that one as well, or did it come with inlays from the factory?
I guess it might be the color of the inlays that clash with the Black body and White bevels that throw it off. Maybe if you had Red pups or Blk/Red Zebra pups, it would look more uniform...

Ive been eye-balling the BC Rich Pat O'Brien V lately. The only thing I don't like about that is the back of the neck is painted, which I don't care for at all, plus it has some kind of Red pinstripes that go down the center of the neck (on the back). So if I were to get that, Id definitely have to strip the neck to 2000grit to remove all of that stuff.

Re: before and after

blank boards, is all i live for, so, dislike. BUT, as stated earlier, if you do inlays, do some faux BC ballin' ass big ass dahmuhnds, for sure. and get the retro "R" fo' da' foist fret. :smokin: still i would buy that blank board, if you so decideth to abandon ship.

Re: before and after

A Jr V deluxe no less!!! Very cool bro, thanks for sharing that! The Pat O'Brien V I was talking about has the Beast headstock, which Im not a fan of. I prefer the 6 inline reverse headstock like yours, or the old 6 inline headstock like the new Gunslinger have.
At one point I had 3 Jackson King V's, but I'm down to one, but I just snagged another 93 KV2 on ebay this Monday, so Im very stoked to get another one in my arsenal. I never had an '81-X, so Im thinking that's what I'll drop into it. I might put this one 2 steps down in C Standard for some Death Metal riffage. My Focus 1000 is in C Standard, and my Gunslinger is in C#, my RG550 is in D Standard, and the rest are in Eb.

Really appreciate you sharing your guitars with us. I'd do the same, but I have no way of uploading pics at the moment, so that'll have to wait for another day.

I think maybe if you put Red Bevels on your Jr.V it may look better...

Re: before and after

i like that v as well, just prefer a reversed assassin head, burger king crown first inlay bugs me a bit. ive yet to purchase a 1 pickup guitar, but am very willing.

Totally agree on the dislike of the headstock and the burger king 1st fret inlay (LOL).....yuck....

Re: before and after

No inlays is where its at. Its a super clean look, and I only ever look at the side dots anyway.
