Hey guys...
I've been quiet this summer mainly due to the kids being home from school and the family traveling about over the summer... The kids are back in school.. so NOW it's TIME to get busy. =)
I've begun working on a new CD (instrumental metal).. and as a part of the "project" I've decided to let the cameras roll as I take the viewer behind the scenes as I work on the CD in my project studio. I'll be doing some screen captures of my DAW as well as some "videos" in studio of tracking and setting up. I hope to make it interesting and educational.. with the hopes that someone will learn a thing or two.. or just "do it" and get themselves going with some basic recording gear and begin doing their own music and recording...
PLUS.. in an effort to give my subscribers some extra value.. I'm going to be doing some giveaways as part of the series... So far I have lined up: a custom pick from Surfpicks.com; MIDI drum grooves from Groove Monkee and Odd Grooves; a String Club membership from Guitar Center; and Steven Slate Drums 4 EX. There might be another item or two in the meanwhile but that's the list so far...

Note: I still am waiting on my "neck" Custom Shop pickup. The first one that I got was the wrong spacing.. and MJ is redoing it.. but it's been taking a long time.. and my bridge Custom Shop is still in the box. I'll change them both at the same time... so my main axe will go without the Duncan Custom Shop pickups. I can't afford to wait any longer... So I will install them when the project is done and use it for my next go round!! My other axe (which will double ALL the rhy tracks) is using Duncans.. (Invader bridge and ScreDemon in the neck).
