Kneel before its pulsating presence!
It all starts with a true-bypass TUNE/PLAY switch, and then proceeds through:
I did a several-day shoot-out between the CE-2/BF-2 combo and the DC-2 Dimension C pedal, and you can see who won. The DC-2 makes an awesome sound, but the CE-2 is a bit wamer and more organic. If anyone has heard the old Police Live double CD, the BF-2 reminds me of Andy Summers' sound on the Regatta De Blanc tour, and the DC-2 sounds like the Synchronicity tour. Both great sounds, but I like the older sound better. The two pedals are a bit more flexible as well, so the DC-2 is off.
... and there's no room for the SD-1. I can't imagine using it in place of the BB Preamp. For all of you who voted for an extra dirt box in my poll last week - sorry, but this is MY pedalboard, and I did it my way. I really wish I had room for some completely different kind of dirt box (something in the way of a fuzz) but I don't and this rig is about perfect for me.
The reissue 74 Script Phase 90 is new - wow it sounds great. My boss got one, and had me mod it with an LED and true bypass. As payment, he ordered a second one for me. I'd love to say new FREE stuff rocks, but I earned this phaser - I was up really late last night working on his mods. Mine is stock - I can't bring myself to drill an LED into its simple old-school beauty. (Or maybe it's just pent-up jealousy talking, left over from high school, when Scott Russell had a Phase 90 and a Foxx Fuzz/Wah, and all I had was that cheesy Lafayette Radio Fuzz Box. Sorry... flashback over.)
Anyway, this is IT for a good long while... I swear.
