Behringer " U-PHORIA UMC204HD" sound card? yay or nay?

Well-

I was about to buy a used soundcard; until I realized it was released in 2008, and there was no updated drivers for it.

Then i found this:

That is almost half the price of its contenders.

I know Behringer is a budget brand, but it seems to get good reviews;
and I need to save every shilling I can. (Because I'm rather poor).

I will be using the soundcard with a phantom powered condenser mic, and instruments into the jack input;
recording multi-track songs in a software recording program.

I guess the knobs may be cheap and feel flimsy;
but I can live with that.

Any input before I order one?

I have a Behringer UMC22 interface. It sounds very good and wasn’t a lot of money.

As I've read mostly good reviews about the Behringer sound cards;

I think the "UMC204HD" is the one I'm going to buy.

Yay all day ...I've got a UMC202HD & it's reliable & does a great job.

204HD is a step up with midi or an fx loop or something if I remember correctly :bigthumb:

I have a 202HD as well, the 204HD is an upgrade, but I don't remember the specifics. My 202HD does it's job and I don't see myself getting another Audio Interface until I legitimately need something more capable with more microphone inputs. For now, this works as well as I need it to.

From what I can tell in comparison video's it's a bit brighter than the Scarlett 2i2 (though not harsh at all) & nothing a little EQ could'nt compensate for if required. I haven't felt any need to upgrade. Suits my purposes fine..

I can't wait to get it-

(my music store gets it for sale in a little months time )

And I'll buy an USB keyboard at the same time-

and save up for an used, cheap-as possible bass guitar .

Then, if I can just find my mic- we're "up and running" !!!

Expect alot of new music coming from me .
