Behringer V-amp 2 upgrade?

Has anyone ordered the chip to upgrade the V-amp2? If so, is it worth the trouble?

I was thinking the V-amp2 has the newer chip? The old V-amp was the one that had a chip available.

From the Behringer site:

"Please note that this update is intended for use with the V-AMP 2 only and will not function with any other models."

It goes on to explain that you need to order a new EPROM.
