picked this one up back in July, but I've been waiting to post until I got the pickups installed. ESP LTD Eclipse '87 RI. Mohagany body, maple through neck, ebony board, and 24 3/4" scale. Plays great, the JB/Jazz set were good, but i bought this with the intention of putting the Fishman Modern set in.

Holy cow!!! I absolutely LOVE those carve-top ESP Teles!

Didn't even realize they came in that seafoam green color...really gives me G.A.S.!

Congrats!

I was just about to say..."Wow. Great looking guitar. Love the color and covered pups. I even like the fret markers. (Not sure about the JB though)".

Then I enlarged the pic and looked at it again. Dang!!! Why'd they have to go and put a pointy on it!

I'd have one myself if it wasn't for the 24 frets. But it is a beautiful guitar- I love that color.

Just discovered that model recently, and agree it’s super cool. Also just picked up an older M-1000, and had forgotten how great ESP stuff is.

So, how does it sound with the Fishman's?

It sounds good, a little in the bright side, but I'm planning on tuning down to B with it eventually. The only downside I ran into is that I bought the Fishman universal rechargeable battery pack, and it turned out that the control cavituly was too small to use it and use the push/pull pots. So, I decided to use the battery pack, and not have the ability to switch voicing or any of the other switchable features.

Bummer about the push/pulls. I have a guitar with Triple Shots, but I've found over the years that once I found the settings that I liked I just tended to leave them where they were at. I suppose that the same can be done in your case.
