Bernie Rico Jr. ID help

At the risk of being Orpheo'd: I've stumbled across this custom-built seven string. The owner is selling it as a no-name, but the headstock and logo look exactly like a Bernie Rico Jr., making this a pretty awesome find. However, after research this is the only time I've ever come across one (a Bernie Rico) with with pick-up rings, and the body shape itself doesn't look quite right.

Thoughts?

It looks like a pretty crappy fake BRJ to me. The shape, the rings, and the finish just don't look right.

looks a bit foogayz to me, usually BRJ's looks more luxurious than that. but these days, who knows with all the copies goin around.

This is what I was starting to think. Bit of a shame....
