Hey guys!
So i have a cool little story to share with you dudes.

My band Periphery is heading out to Australia for our tour with Dillinger Escape Plan and Maylene and the Sons of Disaster in about a week or so, unfortunately touring Australia presents a lot of difficulties in getting our gear out there, so we are restricted to one guitar each, which in our case would force us to bring our 7's.

Unfortunately my Carvin 7 and JP7 are out of action at the moment from having the crap beaten out of them on tour, and Ibanez can't provide us with loaner guitars down there, so i was kinda screwed.

Now i had been casually talking to Bernie Rico, because i constantly see his work referenced everywhere including here and i thought his guitars looked awesome. When he got word of the problems we were having with this tour, he offered to loan me a stock guitar that he was finishing up so i would have a guitar for the tour!

The guitar isnt complete yet, but will not require too much work to finish up, and he thinks he should be able to get this to me before we leave on the 13th.

So i just want to give major props to Bernie for helping me out!!

Im really looking forward to finally getting a chance to play one of these beasts!!

God blesses You. Man that is sick. That guitar is killer and this story makes me want to go to one of your shows, even if I don't know your band... (I don't live in Australia tho...)

Do you know what finish it will have or will it be natural finish? It already looks awesome as it is.

It will have an oil finish actually! So it will look great, not that i can be demanding as it isnt really my guitar haha!

That will be a cool tour! I like Dillinger Escape plan alright but I'm a HUGE fan of Maylene and the Sons of disaster... you lucky sob!

Omg man, I'm on the Myspace of your band right now and Damn... It is exactly my style of music. You'll find it dumb, but I'm proud to be talking with you right now. xD If you come near Montreal (Quebec) someday, I'll be there man.

Man, that thing is thin from nuts to butt!

I can't believe you're using a guitar you've never played before for your Australian tour, but I know you have had enough axes to be able to ballpark a feel based on radius, fret size, etc.

I enjoyed the debut album, BTW. Still enjoying it. Y'all were on the front page of the iTunes store on the drop date. Have fun and kick ass on tour - that' a great bill- I would love to see that here in DC.

It's always nice when things work out like this, isn't it? You get a guitar to tour with, and Bernie gets it played onstage every night in front of how many people.

What kind of endorsements does Bernie do? Maybe he'll offer you a deal at the end of the tour? If he hasn't already, that is.

You're one hell of a guitarist and this looks like it's going to be one siick guitar :fing2: That's so cool that Bernie Rico, Jr. is going to be taking care of you. You guys are going to have one hell of a tour and touring with a band like Dillinger Escape Plan is exactly what you need to really get out there. Congrats and let us know how it works out for you :)

Bulb, that guitar is sick!! Awesome that a he will just loan you a beaut like that! (I know its good publicity, but still) give us a review of both the guitar and the tour! Knock em dead kid...

So a little update on this!
Apparently Bernie has been racing to get the guitar done on time, and he finished it earlier today! I begged him for pics, and i finally convinced him to send me one!
