I trust most of the usual suspects, but I always like to try and go with someone is trying to help me - not someone who is simply telling me what they personally like best. I was on the Gibson forum last night for the first time, and it was just people recommending Gibson pups for no particular reason to a guy who had not described what he thought his tone problem was...Guess I shouldn't be surprised.

im with jeff, i dont trust any of you bastards.
there are lots of people that i trust on here. but if i could only pick one, id choose jolly, cause he will call me on my bs then pour me a drink

I like Jolly too! I like that he gets a killer rock tone from a killer pickup that alot of rock guys are scared to even try: the Duncan Jazz! :laugh2:

I don't even trust myself, because I 've been playing for years at too loud of a volume and my ears (and mind) is fried!
Plus - I have a good feeling for Fender guitars and leave the Les Pauls to Jolly...

PS: Jolly, you can play my any of my guitars in my collection anytime and that includes the White Pequin, single and dual Falcons, Nasville,Tennessean, and duo-jet. I still need a Chet Atkins 'Country Gentleman' to complete that collection.

Guess what! Recently I bought a duncan pickup quite cheap. It was supposed to be a 59n, but wasn't. It turned out to be apre 95 JazzB! :banana: I was VERY happy! :laugh2:

man, I don't know squat. I have a few favorite combinations and once I got turned on to them, I kinda quit experiementing like some of you nuts.
Antiquities and Seths and the A2P/CC combo are my three favs for humbuckers.
Duckbuckers, Alinico 2 pros for strats
5-2 and vintage for Teles
I've got experience with all 4 flavor of Duncan p90's, 5 if you count the Phat Cats.
I've barely dipped into the bucket. If I need pickup advice, I call Donzo.
