Best 10" replacement speaker for Super Champ X2?

I wanna replace my stock speaker because I've heard it can improve your tone a lot, but not sure which one to go with. I want something with tighter bass and nothing too bright.. I play a G&L Fallout Tribute and a Squier Jaguar and use an Earthquaker Devices Fuzz Pedal if that will make any difference of which speaker i should buy. I've been looking at the Jensen MOD 10-35 but I've read a few bad reviews about those. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! :)

Tighter bass, and smooth highs coming up.

Have a ten inch Emmence Ragin Cajun in a 5 watt Ibanez Tube Screamer amp. It has tighter bass and clearer highs than the stock speaker. Main reason I picked this speaker is due to its response in the mids - it has a relatively flat mid range. I'm not a Tube Screamer fan, and this speaker gave a more natural sound to the built in tube screamer.

I've never used a 10" Eminence speaker, but I have a 12" Cannibis Rex and a 12" Swamp Thang and love them. So I would go with Condemned soul on this one. Though you might also want to consider a Copperhead.

The Celestion Tube 10 sounds pretty sweet in certain amps. Don't let the name through you.

I never got around to actually doing a speaker swap when I had the super champ xd but I remember that by far the most common recommendation I received was the ragin cajun by eminence.

I own an SCX2 head that I use a cab loaded with a JBL K130 which is an extremely efficient Alnico speaker. I like the recommendations given. Personally I would prefer an Alnico speaker. A 10 inch JBL or an Alnico Weber would do nicely. I also own two 10 inch Weber California Alnico speakers in another rig and they sound excellent.

How about a Weber DT-10?

"Weber's DT-10 speaker provides warm smooth tone with good bottom end. The 20oz magnet helps keep the speaker somewhat inefficient, so you can drive your amp into overdrive more easily than with a more efficient speaker. Excellent replacement for CTS ceramics in Super Reverbs, as well as a solid choice for Princetons and Vibroluxes where you want to get some drive from those amps without a thin and harsh treble."

After reading up about it, I think I will go with a Ragin Cajun. Thanks for the suggestions guys!

yep cajun is a good choice. i installed one in a buddys champ x2. it made a big difference for the better. Much louder too.

the dt20 is a cool speaker but not for such a little amp. its great in a super reverb where you want to crank it up and not kill people with volume but in a low power combo youll lose a fair amount of volume and headroom

Recently I also went with the Rajun Cajun in a Vox AD30VT I picked up real cheap..Great speaker..100 db. SPL and it gave the amp a deeper, fuller, rounder, louder overall tone...Shaved some harshness off and I think it may have tightened things up a bit but it's not really broken in yet..

Love this little Vox amp for practice and this speaker was $70 well spent...It's an 8 ohm 10"

Rajun Cajun is in the AD30VT to the left...Right amp is stock speaker...

Right now I've got my Super and Princeton loaded up with Greenback 10s. They are a VERY special speaker.
