Best amp for cleans

I was wondering what everyone thinks the amp with the best cleans is. Im not sure what I would pick but the Matchless C-30 and the Vox pop right in to my head first. But I'm not too sure, so thats why I'm asking here.

A Fender Twin Reverb defines clean to my ears.

Any of the BF 2X12 Fender Combo amps,but the Twin Reverb and the 4x10 Super Reverbs define nice clean tone for me also...

some like their cleans tweed w/ a bit of smooth gain, blonde, black, or silver.

I like mine blonde.

I'd say a Fender Twin Reverb or, if you like solid state, a Roland Jazz Chorus.

Everybody from Jerry Garcia to Wes Montgomery to BB King has used the Twin Reverb.

Andy Summers from the Police and Joni Mitchell have both gotten stellar clean tones from the Jaz Chorus. Joni says that amp was invented by Roland just for her...I think it really was too!

I like Fender Blackface for cleans (and slightly dirty things), But what really surprised me was the clean channel on the Mesa/Boogie V-Twin. I was blown away when I recorded straight into the board with this thing.

I like Matchless amps a lot, but you asked about best amp for clean tones, and they (Matchless) just don't ring my bell in that category.

Superreverbs, twins, showmans, Plexi's, Hiwatts, the new Fender concert amp, Selmer T & B, well just to name a few.

My favorite clean amps (in no particular order):
1) Fender BF Super Reverb or Twin
2) Matchless Chieftain
3) Bad Cat Trem Cat
4) Bruno Cowtipper

Depends on what you consider to be the ideal clean. Some folks use Blackface Fenders as their benchmark. Others prefer Vox while some think the JC is the ultimate clean machine. Some folks even lean towards the clean from older Marshalls.

The best cleans (for my taste) thay I've ever heard out of any amp I played came out of a Fuchs. YMMV.

My Matchless Chieftain 2-12 combo has the widest, room engulfing clean I've ever heard. It's more of a tubby Bassman meets Plexi type of sound, so it's far different than Fender clean. Others would include RID's list. The new Concert Reverb has a gorgeous clean tone, and is also the most versatile Fender amp ever made, since it'll also do many shades of gain. Mmmm Hiwatt, too. Oh yeah, and the newish Fender Bassbreaker. Nice fat Fender clean.
