Best classical acoustic-electric on a budget?

I've been wanting an acoustic for some time now. Something I can take around with me to jam or just play at home. My friend's father has an old yahama classical guitar and after playing that I definately want a classical. And if I get an acoustic electric I could incorporate some really cool tones in a band setting.

Could a good classical acoustic-electric be had for around $300-$400?

As much of an Ovation fan as I am, I think the best is the Chet Atkins Gibson model. They just sound gorgeous live or recorded.

I would look at Yamaha. Not sure what the cgx-171 goes for these days. Probably more than that. I bet they have something similar for less.

Don't know how they price out where you are, but a Manuel Rodriguez student model might be just the job - the one I have is a cracker. See their website.

My live classical is a Line 6 300 series. Tried it once and was absolutely blown away. It models either a high end classical or flamenco and all points in between.
