Best Clip-On Microphone

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a Mic that clips on to your shirt, and can do an amazing job recording the voice. It needs to have a very good quality, and clarity to it.

I want to go with something higher range than just a cheap headset for a phone.

I want to hook it up to my computer and record directly into Cakewalk Sonar as a track. I have an M-Audio audio interface. (2 RCA connectors for each track)

Also, will I need a preamp for something like this, battery power, or does it draw power from the input?

Thanks,
Alex

All kidding aside , a mic boom with a Shure SM57 or a 58 is not a shabby way to go , Michael Jackson used Shure SM58s :)

And I might add this is one of the most cost effective ways to go .

A really cheapo way is to get a Radio Shack lapel mic . I know several people who do this and it works .

Yeah, i was thinking about using a regular mic too. I do have an SM57, SM58, and a japanese audiotechnica condenser. I might even use the condenser. I think I will just buy another Art Tube MP preamp, because I only have one right now. It would probably be easier for me - all in all, and will have that "Tube sound" - whatever taht means.
