Best Combo for SD single Humbuckers n Strat??

I want to put some hot rails in my strat but the SD website said it is best to use a combination of different ones. What is the best combo?? I just want a good rock n roll strat.

That's because putting a Hot Rails in every position won't balance very well. You can choose from 3 rail pickups; Hot Rails, Cool Rails & Vintage Rails.

Try this combo: Hot Rails -> bridge, Cool Rails -> middle, Vintage Rails -> neck

Yeah. If the JBjr is too hot there and plenty of people on here that would buy it off of you.

Do you think he could trade it in with the shop? using the SD guarantee?

Would that JB make the tone too twangy? Im not wanting a too twangy sound.....

You could put a bunch of Hot Rails in your guitar, but you would just have to balance the output by adjusting the height. The Hot Rails is an awesome pickup if you like hot pickups - same with the JB Jr.

In my Squier, I have the Everything Axe set. I have it so the Duckbucker is in the middle position and the Lil 59 is in the neck. The Duckbucker has much lower output than the other 2 pickups, but I just raise it higher and the output balances really well.

I liked a HRb, VRm, and a CRn. There was a slight volume drop with the VRm, but some guys at this forum have reported a better balance with using a bridge version VR for the middle slot.
