Re: best combo

yeah, I think you could add 59 and PG sets

I asked Hamer why they switched from JB to a 59 in the bridge of their Studios, and they said it was due to players' changing tastes

Re: best combo

Of all time: Original PAF / Original PAF ( 1959 or 1960, take your pick ).

Duncans: 59 / Jazz
or
Seth / Seth

These are my favorite Duncan combos,....for now..............:)

I think we're on the same page, Bro . Jazz neck / 59 Bridge
I probably wrote it backwards, oops lol. .............:)

Re: best combo

I think it really depends on what style/guitar you're playing. (What doesn't?) Still, I've got a Custom/59n in my LP and it covers jazz/blues-hard rock and any good metal. In a thinner guitar like a super-strat design i'd put a custom 5 in to warm it up a bit. Also, the Screamin' Demon is an awesome pickup for rock players, try that baby in both positions as a nice combo.

Re: best combo

Wow, 'your mum and sister' is a popular choice.

Take in mind that Seymour himself has his favourite combination, the Jazz and JB. Now that's an opinion you can't discredit :P

Re: best combo

Just to many combos that will work. In the end, only your ear will tell you the truth.
