Super Distortion, Super 3, Breed, EVO, Tone Zone, Norton. Out of these what one will get me that 80s and 90s Metal tone ? Thanks

Biu said:Tone Zone is a really cool pup too. It's more modern sounding, probably my favorite pickup. It's really fat and bone-crushing, but since it has such a strong voicing, people usually love it or hate it.

Just my opinion, but I did use one in the '80's. I took it out in about 1992 because some dips*it was adjusting my pickups and the screwdriver hit the bobbin. It RULES for 80's metal. Put one in, go into a JCM 800 with a Boss distortion->pure screaming metal tone. I've used a Super 3 PROTOTYPE in the HM Strat. It got replaced with a JB, which was much more balanced than the super 3 or the X2N. There is no comparison between the X2N or the Super 3 though; the X2N shreds it. If I went back to playing only metal and I wanted to play DiMarzio, the X2N would be in my axe, hands down. Just my 2 cents worth.
