Please fight about this topic and give me inspiration in the process.

The wah is of course supreme, but there should be room for more.

The Boss 7 band and MXR are classics that have worked for guitarists for years.

This was just announced at NAMM, it looks pretty cool:

Cool, adjustable mid is all good. I saw the same thing on "joemeek" meequalizer. Anyone tried those btw?

And as for MXR - 6 or 10 band?

Re: Best EQ for shaping distortion

I had both at the same time and ended up ditching the 10 and keeping the 6.
For the loop most guys who have had both seem to go with the 10 for the gain and output control, plus the extra width of spectrum.

My usage is only as a pedal-chaser for the front-end, and for that I found the 6 to be just plain better sounding, plus the bands are a bit closer together spectrum-wise, and without the extra junk that's outside of the guitars typical range,,,,,,and more "organic".

The older black versions do add a bit more color to the tone which I prefer for the front. I'd go with the newer silver version of the 10 for the loop if I used it like that.

I use a Monte Allums modded GE-7, basically quieter than stock. Works great, it was my solo boost for years.
