LOl like your thinking... that EVH thing is what inspired me to not only build parts guitars but also to build guitars from lumber

There really is no upgrade from a jem....just different sounds.

Yeah. There's nothing lacking in quality in a JEM. They're very, very well made guitars. A USA Jackson, Japanese ESP, or Gibson Les Paul isn't better -- just different.

a top of the line JEM is one of the Ibanez's i would love to own... most of their stuff i've been shying away from as the local repair shop keeps saying they see too many of their models in for repairs and getting replacement parts for the various locking trems they make is hard to do...
