Best FX Pedal (and maybe chorus)

I've come into a little bit of money (lets say for sake of argument £160).

After a distortion pedal, and possibly a chorus (depending of course on the expense of the disto).

What do you guys suggest? I dont really want to blow 160 on one pedal, so after seeing a few reviews the Danelectro Wasabi looked good, that and maybe the Boss CE-1 Chorus Ensemble.

You guys swear by anything?

For dirt, it's hard to go wrong with a DS-1, or maybe a Big Muff (make sure you try it first).

For chorus;

Small Clone all the f*ckin' way baby!

It would be helpful if you indicated what type of distortion you are interested in? Or what kind of music you will be playing.
As far as Overdrive is concerned, I would take a look at a TS9. Great pedal A lot of guys here have had them modded by Stratdeluxe97. He brings the specs back to the original design.
For a Metal type of Distortion I will Bump to someone else as I do not use that type od sound.

I use a Boss CE2 Chorus pedal. I paid about $40 abut 15 years ago for it new. They don't make this anymore, but it is very simple to use and has a great sound. If you can find one of these I would recommend it. Two adjustments Depth and speed... easy and very sweet sound.

+1 for the CE-2.

Also, you might want to think about John's modded DS-1. Sounds better than my Marshall AVT Halfstack's distortion.

how much is that in american $?

It's a decent amount of coin... they sell brand new directly from Analog Mike for $225 plus an extra $50 if you want Stereo. But his stuff is quality and that pedal tends to be the choice if you want a nice analog tone.

If cash is the issue then you can't beat a Made in Japan Boss CE-2.
