Thanks, Ehwuld. I just wanted to make sure that the one labeled as being for an acoustic didn't have some feature that's necessary for acoustics.

They should be universal
Mine are
But mine aren't those expensive ones

Mine are the less expensive single padded fork
That I have had to squeeze together a bit for my narrow neck Ibanez

I use string swing it supports your guitar by the body and the neck. Instead of just the headstock.

I think that looks very cool, but I would never store a guitar with sideways tension on the neck like this, either the weight/gravity tension in the direction of the truss rod resistance or not at all for me.

Is there any real difference between these two?

I've got very limited wall space and with one hanger I'd like to be able to usually hang a Tele but at times a classical acoustic.

Will either of these be OK for both?

I got over my fear of hanging these on plaster: This past weekend I hung a flatscreen TV using anchors and it went very well. That wall isn't like some of the walls in this place where the plaster crumbles.

I've only used the 24.99 version. but it looks like the 18.99 is just an updated version -probably fine.

With the Hercules mounts, Floyd Rose nuts can be cumbersome. From my experience.

Interesting, I have 30 guitars on these.. but no Floyd Rose nuts currently -however -the Hercules hanger holds the guitar from the fluting point of the head (throat) which is usually 1 to 2 inches highers than the nut -so i don't picture how a Floyd Rose nut would be an issue -maybe post a picture? I really can't see this as an issue looking at mine

Hercules Hangers work best with Steinberger guitars -as it easily allows them to fall and die a less than noble death on the floor :lmao:
