Just wondering what my other esteemed metal colleagues use/think would work well with the two 1/4 Pounders I have (1 is RWRP). FYI, I have a Dimarzio X2N in the bridge at the moment.

i will install a Screaming Demon in the bridge of a Fender Strat MIM in the next couple of weeks. Will report then.

For classic heavy metal, I'd go with a Duncan Distortion.

For modern metal, I'd go with a Nazgul or Sentient, depending on taste.

"What do you not like about the x2n?"

Good question. I guess, nothing in particular, but I'm just wondering if there might be a 'stand out' complimenting humbucker to the quarter pounders made by SD.

Any thoughts on the Alternate 8 with the SSL-7s?

The GFS Bigmouth is a perfect match for the QP's.
