Hey guys which one would you say is the best lil Humbucker in the Neck pos for an alder Strat w Rosewood Fretboard for playing Leads?

Re: Best lil HB for Lead, Neck

For soloing? For the bridge position the Hot Rails might be the hottest if that's what you're after. But I prefer the tone of the JB JR.

In the neck position The JB JR. neck model is hotter than the Little 59 but I prefer the Little 59 because the chord tones are clearer. The Duckbuckers are pretty popular in the neck and middle position too.

Jennifer Batten uses two Duckbuckers and a JB JR. in her guitar...the one she plays when she performs with Jeff Beck.

Another question.. which one, the lil '59 or the JB Jr will sound fatter (but defined) with distortion?

My buddy Mike has a Telecaster (xcessive) with a Firebird PUP. It really rocks.

Ive got a JBJr in the neck of my alder jackson and its great for lead, and still retains lots of clarity...it even sounds good for jazz cleans!

I somehow think a lil '59 would be quite a good choice...

i have the Lil '59 in the neck of my Ibanez RG, it's a warm humbucker & it does solos well. it's slightly hotter than the full-sized version.
