They actually sounded terrible! If they had made it sound as good as a Bandit, it would have sold a lot more.

Early 90s ones did, certainly. A really great clean and slightly dirty od sound.

Man, if they did (and I believe you) -I never heard one -but I think we made fun of them more than we played them

Still regret not going all the way. They sounded pretty unique/awesome too.... (thick, mean, raw & ballsy old school death metal tone for days....)

I've seen a couple of YT videos where they sound pretty good for rockabilly & chicken pickin'/country stuff though..
Actually played one in person at a local store years ago and it certainly wasn't my kinda amp :laugh2:

I have one of those but it's with the standard black chassis, not the cool chrome chassis with black writing they call the "blackface",,, so mine is actually the version that should have been called the blackface since it's black-plate, black vents, black chassis and black knobs.
I'll get my son to snap a pic and email it to me so I can post it. (I'm still on my $13 flippy, going on 8yrs old)
It's probably my favorite amp cosmetically. (of the amps I own)
If we go recto-classy then my favorite is a toss between the basic black 99 Tremoverb head and my 2011 Multi-Triple shown here in this awful grainy pic(pic is also from 2011 iirc).
