Best Looper pedal---best value

What is the best stereo looper for a reasonable price. Don't need any built-in effects or super fancy stuff.

Boss RC-3 Loop Station?
Digitech JamMan Solo XT?
EH MemoryMan?
Rocktron Tru-Loop?
others?

I've no experience at all with a looper, just want to be able to put down rhythm tracks and play leads along with them or dual leads.

Re: Best Looper pedal---best value

The Boss or the Jamman Solo XT- especially if that is all you want to do with them. If you don't need drum tracks or a metronome, then go for the TC Electronics Ditto Looper, which is tiny, and cheap.

Re: Best Looper pedal---best value

The ditto is going to blow up when it come out. I don't think it's available until later march. It's basically the simplest most functional and cost effective looper yet.

Re: Best Looper pedal---best value

Yeah, I like the idea of the Ditto, but I wish there was a way to at least control the loop volume with your feet, like an expression pedal jack. But it is so small, there probably isn't room for one.

Re: Best Looper pedal---best value

The TC Elect. Ditto looks kinda cool. But where can you get one. I don't see anyone who carries it.

Re: Best Looper pedal---best value

It isn't out yet- I think mid-March it will be though. The Ditto isn't battery powered, and you must supply your own adapter, if that is important to you.

Re: Best Looper pedal---best value

Off topic, and I apologize for that, but your blog was a great read, Mincer. Thanks for putting it together.

Re: Best Looper pedal---best value

As a simple looper with infinite dubbing, try to find a used Akai Headrush E2... it's amazing really. I love mine. It's also a cool delay and tape-echo simulator if that's a feature you could use somewhere else. I'd love to get the ditto though.
