What do you consider "best" as well ? Are you talking about getting the most wattage for the dollar or do you care only about the best tone and you don't care if its 5 watts or 100 watt for example ?
this is probably the best value. i've played one and they sound good for a small combo. you'll need a pedal if you want to do a lot with little amps like these. on this particular amp it seems to be inherently somewhat mid-scooped, so upping the mids will thicken the sound well. can't beat the price though:
I'd say the Sovtek Mig-50 is a killer value for the tone it puts out. CHEAP amp and yet it can sound astoundingly good. My nephew still has and loves his. It needs pedals to do much more than cleans, but it does take pedals really well.
Sorry i should have been more clear. Looking for a small all tube amp (combo) for home use only (so it can be 5 watts) at the lowest price possible while still getting a decent quality amp if possible!!!
Anyone try the Fender Champion 600 Vintage Modified?

+1 Valve Junior and extention. I doubted that speaker box at first, but it blows the combo VJ, and the Crate Palomino away in terms of volume and tone,IMO.
