i voted for dime, but another one who has a huge matel tone is Stephen Carpenter of the deftones, i saw them live and before the concert i enjoyed Stephen'sound check too, it's f***ing amazing the tone he got!!!!

I know at least that the Black Album demos were done with Mark IV's, so I would assume a good bit of the tone that showed up on the actual album were those as well.

Great amps.

And yes, both of the LoG boys use em too.

I'd personally go with Dime. Rhythm tones are tight as ****, and the leads are searing.

When is anybody gonna listen to Crowbar or Goatwhore!!!!
Kirk from Crowbar has the SICKEST tone ever! Just listen to the self titled cd or Broken Glass! And listen to anything by Goatwhore!!! Sammy gets just about the fiercest Black/Doom metal tone ever!!!!!!!!!! Why do I have so many damn exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!!!!
