For what style?
Using what amp?

For the others (there are many other factors besides Body wood), the guitar is:
24 frets,
downsized explorer style,
Rosewood Board on a maple neck,
25.5" scale.
Bolt-on,
dual humbuckers,
IIRC Floyd (or was the PS series the one with the reversed "T" nomenclature where T means Tune-O-Matic, keep mixing that up)

oh yeah i play metal mainly metallica megadeth sort of stuff and ive just found out the guitar also has a flame maple top.

my current amp is a peavey bandit but im shortly going to be upgrading to a ashdown peacemaker 60

how would the invader sound in this guitar my friend uses one in his guitar which i beleive is basswood with a flame maple top and it sounds okish then again he uses a v amp pro

The top is a Veneer, barely thicker than a sheet of paper, no tonal impact.. that´s why the price difference in´97 to a solid color was only about 50 bucks

For Metallica, Megadetha and such I thinmnk the Invader would be too "woofy" for you, too much steroids so to speak....

I´d say a Distortion set or a Distortion/´59 set for starters.... The Custom would also probably work well

Haha, you have almost the same setup as me, just I'm using a Digitech RP-7 fx pedal.

I'm looking for pickups too, and I was gunna go with the invader, because my pedal handles the high end pretty well. If the invader is still a but muddy/woofy I'm gunna go the Duncan Distortion. Make sure you get it in a trembucker though if you have a floyd rose trem.
