Best Recording Rig?

Empty Pockets

BadHairDayologist
Well I'm starting to get into the amazing world of recording the junk that comes out of my speakers when i play...you know, maybe construct them into songs or albums eventually. I'd like something with lots of amp and cab models, some effects would be good too...just a solid, all-around guitar processor that I could use in front of my amp and to plug into my PC and record.

The first things I can think of are Line 6's PODs and I'm pretty sure the Vox Tonelab does it too. I think BOSS makes something like I'm describing too but I can't think of the name of it for the life of me. Do any of you with a bit more experience know of some good hardware for my needs?

thanks

Re: Best Recording Rig?

It certainly has a name I can get into. Have you heard anything about it? What improvements and stuff.

The most current Line 6 stuff I have any experience with was a Vetta head that was updated to Vetta II software, and it sounded GOOD but a little too computery, if that makes sense.

Re: Best Recording Rig?

I know what you mean - I really love the Vetta II, tho.

PODxIII has an SPDIF out which is great for recording with a seperate interface, you can mix two amp models, has more models in general, supposed to be better sounding... here's a picture:

Re: Best Recording Rig?

for the price you cant beat the Line 6 toneport, the computer interface I think is alot easier to use than say a POD
