Re: Best solid state amps of 2015
I was impressed by the Super Champ. Modeling preamp into a tube power section, though.

Quilter amps are the best sounding solid state amps ever.
I use solid state amps because I like the sound.
The price and lack of maintenance just makes it better for me.
Have you ever looked into the Dime SS unit ?
Haven't come across one yet, but would probably try it sometime. I do have an RG75 though, so it probably isn't that much different.![]()
..and the head:
I've got one and did a demo too...but his is way better/more comprehensive haha..
IMO the Peavey Bandit 112 transtube "Silver strip" one of the best SS amps still to this day!!!!
randall has so many amps, and every time I go to look one up it's discontinued/no longer available. what do they do, make like a couple hundred of something then move on to the next thing? they all seem to be pretty similar in verbal description too, I can't quite figure out their deal.
wow, I see that t2 head is 400 watts - that's insane!
