Best Strat PUs for Blues?

So, I wanna get some serious thickness out of my strat so that I can get those blues tones. Im still using the stock PUs, and theyre very trebly and Kind thin on the bridge end. The neck PUs aint anything special either, but the Neck of the guitar seems to be perfect for String bends, so what PUs do I use to get right sound? (the setup is s/s/s).

For traditional output singles, I'd say a full set of APS-2's would do the trick.

If you want humcancelling with more output, a Cool Rails set would be pretty neat.

Can't beat SSL-1 set, or if you want a beefier bridge, use an SSL-3 or SSL-5 in the bridge. APS-1/2's are great too, but I prefer A2 buckers and A5 singles... but it's purely personal taste. I had an APS-1 in the bridge of my strat that was absolutely awesome, but swapped it out for more of a glassy tone. Nontheless, cant go wrong with anything mentioned so far.

Re: Best Strat PUs for Blues?

I put a Nashville 5-2 Bridge in mine about two years ago and I love it. I wanted something that would tame the treble and beef it up a bit without deviating too much from the traditional Strat sound. I also like the 5-2 neck pickup but if I had it all to do over again I might go for the SSL-1 in the neck. The middle is an APS-1.

is your option limited to duncan?

I'm also looking to beef up my new Mex Strat. I think the SSL-4 Quarter Pound or SSL-52-1 Five-Two sounds like what you're looking for if you want less treble. I like the Hot for Strat and Alnico II Pro myself.

Right now I'm thinking:
Bridge: SSL-3 Hot for Strat (I like the higher output, the mids are thicker than my current bridge, and the highs aren't thin but they bite)

Middle: STK-S4 Classic Stack Plus (a hum-canceling pickup with a nice tone in the middle)

Neck: APS-2 Alnico II Pro Flat (it's got some of that rawness to it and I think it sounds good in the neck clean and dirty - Hendrix-like)

Antiquity Texas Hots. Get the Power Bridge and the RW/RP middle. GREAT set for blues. I have a set like this in one of my G&L Legacys, and I love them!

As far as Duncans go, I'd go with Antiquity Custom and Texas Hots. I always liked the SSL-3 in the bridge if not Ants.

I'm using Fender Fat '50's in mine (which I don't play very often...I'm more of a LP/SG guy). I love 'em. Great old Strat sound with a tad more output.
