For a bit more chime I like the new Tung-Sols. If you get lucky, the JJ ECC803S will do the trick too, but I like the Russian tubes better. To be honest, the Chinese and the Mullard came off a bit heavier in the mids to me, with less chime. But it's not an exhaustive sample.

If you are considering a stomp, a nice clean boost like the MXR Micro Amp adds some life and character to an amp.

That's my friend's go to box with his Knucklehead....Oddly it's the only box he has that I haven't tried with the Orange....

Substituting a 5751 for a 12ax7 adds a nice chime.

Pretty much any Chinese 12AX7 will be brighter and the Russian 12AX7's will darken your amp. That's what I've found in my 20+ years of electron manipulating. (Tone Sculpting)
