best vintage bassman modeler

well, instead of spending a grand on an original, i figured it'd be more practical to get a modeler that i can plug into one of my silverfaces

so whats a good one for blackface/tweed bassman crunch? It has to be able to run infront of the amp like a pedal, and preferably be in the $100 range

Drew, you're chasing round in circles. You probably know what I'm about to say: Modellers plugged into the front end will not give you what you want.

Save your money and get the rig you know will do the job for the gigs you play (assuming that's the case...).

Until then, work with what you've got.
